New Website launched

In advance of the new 2009 BAFL Flag season, the Chichester Sharks have launched a new website. Apart from a brand new look, the site includes a number of new features. Have a play around with the site to see what's different. Generally, it's a lot more flexible to up keep from my perspective - though a bit more complicated so it will under go a few changes over the coming months whilst I get to grips with it. If anyone has any suggestions on what they'd like to see on the site, please let me know - either by email or by using the Contact page on the website. Thanks for any input.

Preseason Flag Football Friendlies

Well done to all those who participated today in friendlies with Peter Symonds Sabres and the Zombie Horde of Basingstoke. It was an incredibly cold day but that didn't stop some great football being played in good spirits. I don't have the actual scores to hand but the final results stand as: Horde beat Sabres Sharks beat Horde Sharks beat Sabres (EDIT: Horde 45 - Sabres 20, Horde 20 - Sharks 47, Sharks 13 - Sabres 12 - Thanks Martyn) Thank you very much to both the visiting teams for joining us today. Sharks get fit for new year

The Sharks recruitment drive for 2009 kicked off this week with a feature in the Chichester Observer. Centred around the idea of getting fit as a New Year resolution, the article invites people who are perhaps looking for something a little different to help them get in shape this year, to come on down to training and give flag football a go. There is a good chance they we'll have a some new faces at training tomorrow, as I've had a few enquiries this week, so it would be good to get as many of you to training as possible. Have a think if you know anyone else that might be interested - badger anyone that has had to many turkey & chocolates these past few weeks!

Eastbay Sale – 3 pairs of cleats for $99!

Eastbay.com are running a great offer in their sale - you can get 3 pairs of cleats (football boots) for just $99 (about £68 or £23 per pair). There are 28 different styles and include brands such as Nike, Adidas, Reebok and Under Armour. Now you probably don't need 3 pairs of boots but I thought that if there is enough interest there could always be a joint order. You can do as many 3 pair orders as you want and you still get the deal. Have a look and see if they have any you like in your size. Check the international sizing conversion chart also. If you see any you like, express your interest here or drop me an email.
