New Season, New League, New Site!

Welcome to the new site of the Chichester Sharks. With a new season and league upon us, I thought it a good time to give the site an overhaul. We'd been running the other site for a good few years and it had reached a point when there were too many technical limitations that were stopping me doing what I wanted to do to improve the site. Anyway, I hope you like the new look - its not quite finished but its getting there. Have a little look around there are some new features that you might like: Check out the forum - you can sign up and chat in here about anything football related - be it Sharks, BAFL, NFL, Arena football, College football - and pretty much anything…

Back to School

Chichester Sharks Head Coach Dayle Kirby has been visiting Bishop Luffa School to introduce the students to flag football. On Tuesday, Dayle worked with two PE classes, covering various aspects of the game, including catching, tackling and running routes. The group of around forty girls took to this new sport with surprising ease, as their coach-for-the-day announced the Sharks’ plans to develop a youth section in 2008. Dayle, who also teaches and coaches at Christ’s Hospital in Horsham, returns to the Chichester school for another ‘taster’ on Monday. “After that,” he commented, “it will be down to the students to decide if they would like to play flag football more regularly. I really hope they do,” he added, “as a number of them showed real ability.”If you would like to arrange…

Beginning of new era for Sharks

We had a rocky season on and off the pitch but yet in keeping with our supportive, team first environment, we turned things around to end the year on a high note, winning the English National Championship.2008 promises to be a very different, but just as eventful year.
