Sharks Go West

This Sunday sees the Chichester Sharks travel to the West Country to face long time rivals, the North Devon Dogs and newcomers, the St. Albans Kings.

The Sharks and Dogs have been squaring up for years, facing each other 10 times whilst in the ESFL. The Sharks hold the advantage going 9-1 in that time. This weekend will see the teams against each other for the first time in the new BAFL Flag league. It will also be the Dogs opening game of the season.

The Kings are in their inaugural season and currently sit at the foot of the league table with an 0-2 record, including a 33-6 defeat at the hands of the Sharks on opening weekend.

Best of luck guys – I’m gutted to be sitting this one out. Dogs will be tough, they’ve got some powerful weapons on offense, and St Albans are bound to have improved since last time – but I know that if you keep focused and play hard all day, you can come back home with 2 more wins. Text me the scores when you can. Go Sharks!

Well done to everyone who played in the heat in Devon yesterday! Both games presented their own challenges, with the Kings showing signs of rapid improvement, and the Dogs demonstrating the potency of their offence.

Looking forward, the 2 months until our next outing offer us an ideal opportunity to develop individual and team skills, so please try to be at training if you can.

    Thank you
