The Sharks play two scrimmage games this Sunday. Usual place (New Park, Chichester) and time (10am start sharp).
In addition, we’ll be joined by two members of the Press from the Chichester Observer. They will be videoing our practice / scrimmage and also participating themselves. Hopefully, this will result in a feature in the newspaper and on their website.
Let’s have a good turn out 🙂
The Sharks recruitment drive for 2009 kicked off this week with a feature in the Chichester Observer.
Centred around the idea of getting fit as a New Year resolution, the article invites people who are perhaps looking for something a little different to help them get in shape this year, to come on down to training and give flag football a go.
There is a good chance they we’ll have a some new faces at training tomorrow, as I’ve had a few enquiries this week, so it would be good to get as many of you to training as possible. Have a think if you know anyone else that might be interested – badger anyone that has had to many turkey & chocolates these past few weeks!
Eastbay.com are running a great offer in their sale – you can get 3 pairs of cleats (football boots) for just $99 (about £68 or £23 per pair).
There are 28 different styles and include brands such as Nike, Adidas, Reebok and Under Armour.
Now you probably don’t need 3 pairs of boots but I thought that if there is enough interest there could always be a joint order. You can do as many 3 pair orders as you want and you still get the deal.
Have a look and see if they have any you like in your size. Check the international sizing conversion chart also.
If you see any you like, express your interest here or drop me an email.
Time to run off that turkey and get back in shape for the 2009 season!
Training starts this Sunday (4th) at the usual time and place. Hopefully we should have a good turn out for the first session back – we usually do.
If you can think of anyone you know who may be interested or need to run off Christmas excesses, then bring them along. The more the merrier.
Don’t forget to bring your quarterly player subs with you – January through to March costs £13 each (or £10 to Students or Under 18s).
See you all there
